Marta Djordjevic is a pop culture writer and editor living and working in Vancouver, Canada.
Work
The following is a collection of my favorite writing projects. I am currently working as a features editor at Nicki Swift and as a freelance writer both at Looper and Grunge, with a focus on Old Hollywood nostalgia and cinema.
I’m always working on something on the side, both in print and online. My extensive feature on Claudine Longet for Gusher Magazine was for sale at MoMA's Design Store in New York. You can also find my work at Localeur - on their website and podcast (here), along with my poetry, which can be found at Everytime Zine (here and here). For years, I also ran my blog, Paradise Playground, where I interviewed various musicians and worked with Netflix, and Taro PR to cover film releases.
On the side, I run my @marta.mcfly TikTok account, where I share my film recommendations and encourage discussion and analysis of classic and contemporary cinema. I also collaborate with Warner Brothers Canada, Elevation Pictures, and Sphere Films Canada, where I review their upcoming releases on my channel.
